I love a good side quest.

The optional stuff is my favorite stuff. I DJ. I draw. I write. I teach a weekly yoga class. If something can be made by hand, I will eventually try to make it, and my dogs will supervise. That energy needed somewhere to live, so it moved into a candle jar.

The “sis” part is just the attitude. I come by it honestly.

Not my first candle rodeo

I started making candles in 2018 at Hummingbird Candle Co., where I poured luxury coconut wax candles professionally for a couple of years and loved every minute of it. Working for Tianna showed me what a candle company can be: real craft, fair wage jobs for women, and a business that gives back. Those values shaped how I make things, and Sidequest Sis carries them forward one small batch at a time.

So when the first run of this line sold out from a single Facebook post, it felt less like luck and more like a welcome back.

I'm also a product designer and the COO of Cloudfruit, a tech company I run with my husband, Sam. Software and candles are the same job if you squint: you obsess over details nobody will ever see so the thing just feels right when someone finally holds it.
